What do the confidence indicator values mean on the D5 RIID?

Three categories

The D5 RIID displays a confidence indicator value alongside identification results on the alarm.

It signals how confident you can be in the identification ID displayed on screen when a radiological source is detected; how likely it is to be correct.

The confidence indicator value can fall into either of the three categories:

  1. PCS Significance > 20: High Confidence
  2. PCS Significance 10-20: Medium Confidence
  3. PCS Significance <10: Low Confidence

It is important to note that the correct and accurate isotope ID can still be provided with a <10 significance
