How do I turn the D3M on and off?

To turn the D3M on, simply press and hold the central multifunction button for one to two seconds until the screen illuminates.

To then turn the D3M off, press and hold the central multifunction button until white vertical bars begin to fill the screen. The button should be released when the fifth and final bar fills the screen. This will power down the device.
