# How do I set the D3M to Bluetooth® pairing mode?

## Look for the purple light

First ensure that the D3M is switched off. Then, press and hold the central multifunction button until the device turns on. Keep the button pressed until the LED turns purple, as this indicates that the device is in Bluetooth® pairing mode.
